Kunitsy & Gabashvilli both won yesterday !

Maria Sharapova & E. Vesnina lost doubles match 7:10 in a match tie-break.. - too bad, because one match is not enough practice for Maria..She said that her treatment is not over yet - she keeps in touch with her doctor..

Kuznetsova/Maruesmo won doubles, and so did Kirilenko/Penneta !

Good day so far for our girls!

Dinara, Vera Zvonareva, Lena Vesnina & A. Chakvetadze won today !

Disappointing day for the guys - Kolya Davydenko withdrew with the heel injury (I guess it did not heal well)
And, M. Youzhny retired in a 2nd set after losing the 1st ..:(

Sveta Kuznetsova is still to play later...

Many Russians are playing tomorrow:
Lena Dementieva, Igor Andreev, Kunitsyn, Gaba.. - good luck to all !

Sveta Kuznetsova lost in 3 sets to young Radwanska..:(

Kunitsyn lost to Robredo..
Gaba lost to Tsonga..

Lena Dementieva is not having the best start - lost 1st set, won 2nd, lost 3rd 1:6 - so many breaks of serve !

Did not expect that at all from Lena ! :( i guess not her day..

On a good side - Igor Andreev beat Gulbis !
A. Pavluchenkova (#42 in a world) beat Jankovic in straight sets!! great job! A. Kleybanova & V. Dushevina won their matches too !

Anna Chakvetadze lost to Peer 1:6, 4:6..

A. Pavluchenkova who beat Jankovic, beat Knapp today & is though to the 4th round !
That was important for her after beating top 10 player.

Best of luck to Dima against Nadal! Dima now has a wide variety in his game, and if he is serving well, anything can happen...that would be awesome !

WOW!

Igor Andreev beat Tsonga in straight sets !!

Great job, Igor !! I wish I could watch that match, but it was well after midnight when it started..

And stupid Tennis Channel (sorry, can't help it) is not broadcasting anything this week !
I can't believe it - they broadcasted over the week-end, and that's it !
Such big tournament as this which is considered almost a GS !!

Great win for Igor!
I couldn't watch the match.. they don't broadcast this tournament here this year.. which is actually very strange - such a big tournament with the best players..
Anyway, good luck for Tursunov against Nadal. It will be hard but not impossible for him to win this one!

Congrats to Andreev! :) Great win, even though I watched only a tiny bit from the match!

A field of four-leaf clovers to all Russian players as well! :)

As more often than not, our girls had a good day!

Dinara & Vera are through to Qtr-Finals !

Dima Tursunov lost to Nadal in straight sets :(
He had couple of opportunities, but too many UE on important points which you can't have against #1 player !

And, his serve was not as good as it could be...

Good luck to Igor against Ljubicic tomorrow!
