Like that! Oh my word! Papers are gonna be nuts tomorrow. FCPOLICAN! Bet you're gonna sleep well
tonight. And I tell you...he played like magic. Really. Blow for blow. There was a volley in there that was from Mars.

Wow. Just WOW!
What an exceptional performance, what an effort! Even if Nadal hasn't been at his best, Del Potro played exquisitely in the latter part of the third set and there's no doubt in my mind that he deserved his win.
And just as I was complaining that he isn't playing enough volleys, the guy started coming to the net constantly and won something like 11/12 net points! Not to mention my complaint that Del Potro doesn't have the mental make up needed to be a champ, he pulls back from 0-3 and double break down and keeps strong even after missing three match points on Nadal's serve.
Again, just wow. Great display, super Del Potro.

Hi Kenny & fcpolifan!
Unfortunately, I missed the 'great comeback' of DelPotro from 2 breaks down! sounds familiar?
Congrats to DelPotro, he will remember this win for a long-long time !
Though, I cheered for Nadal - I wanted to see Federer vs Nadal Final!

Now I like Verdasco but Natasha...I have to tell you...I want to see Del Potro Vs. Murray. Really. Did you watch him play Nadal? Several things were very weird with the match, but he played well. Good enough to take the tournament? You're thoughts please!

I'd say Marat's was far more dramatic, with him serving for the match twice. And many times more depressing.
I really hope Del Potro at least makes the final, although it's gonna be very tough in the SF. But a win over the nr. 1 deserves to be followed by another strong performance.
As for him winning, I don't know, I'm pessimistic, especially if he meets Federer in the final.

I agree with fcpolifan - don't see Del Potro winning the title..
Especially, as we've seen many times after beating #1 or #2 player, it's just sooo much to think through..
Like Roddick when he beat Federer last year here in Miami in Qtrs, he then lost to Davydenko in semis..
Now the Final I want to see is Federer vs Murray, and Federer finally beating Murray !
As far as comparing to Marat's match - I just meant that it proves that even best player in a world can have a big advantage in a form of 2 breaks, and give it away...

Oh boy, Murray is just beating up Verdasco - 6:1, 6:2
Never seen Verdasco throw the racquet...he looks beaten, just can't do anything against Murray today..

This Federer Djokovic match is pretty awfull. I have a bad feeling from them both. I think they're going to struggle all year.

Actually, it's outrageous. You gotta feel for Federer. The crowd gives him a rousing welcome back on court at 3-0 after he breaks a racket (shock, horror!!!), and he still just cannot find the court. I mean, like AT ALL. It's just...wow. I dunno. But now Djokovic is double faulting...and is broken. 3-1. This has got to be the strangest Tournament I have ever seen.

I'm sorry, but.. Federer broke a racket !?
I didn't see the match, obviously, but very much wanted to see Roger win it. I just hoped he will find his game eventually and that he will start dominating the courts again but this looks rather difficult and impossible for the moment. =/

Now Del Potro vs. Murray also turning out to be a strange one! Murray decimates Del Potro 6-1 first set, then Murray unravels second set and looses 7-5, and now in third they're both going for it. Not excellent tennis but veeeery interesting.

Haven't watched Federer vs Djokovic, but watched hightlights & saw how Roger broke the racquet - for the 1st time I've ever seen ! - in my opinion it's totally normal reaction to how frustrated he felt - I don't know what happened after 1st set, just heard comments from people who had watched the match..
They said it was a disaster match for Roger, he refused to 'make adjustments' due to heavy wind, and had UE after UE, and kind of 'gave up' - Roger give up ? And Djoko didn't do anything special..
Too bad - I was cheering for him to go to the Finals! And, with Nadal losing earlier, I thought he had a chance to win Masters which he wasn't able to do yet this year..
I hope he has better tournaments to come !

Oooo Natasha, it's been the strangest thing. The Federer match was nearly un-watchale! And then Murray V. Del Potro, again, though it had it's moments, looked more like a boxing match than tennis! Hard to see how you can keep Murray from winning this one now...unless Djokovic suddenely comes up with magic.

Vika Azarenka beat Serena in a Final 6:3 6:1 !
I watched the match, yes, Serena was not in her best shape, but it doesn't lessen Vika's success - she played agressively, and didn't give Serena much time for her shots.
So, Vika totally deserved her victory! She did not choke playing against #1, and though had couple of double-faults on M.P., was able to serve out for the Championship!
Congrats to her!

Just saw it - Roger Federer accepted late WC into Monte Carlo ! Good for him !
If it's not Marat to beat Nadal on clay, it's got to be Roger !
