Webby, thanks a ton for the schedule update. Glad to hear he is considering playing LA for purely selfish reasons, because I might be able to go to LA and watch Marat play :) .

Webby,

Is there any chance of Marat asking for a WC for Munich or Estoril which starts next Monday?

I don't think so - he and Andreev are still playing doubles so guess it will depend what happens with that - Andreev just lost as well today so they might click and decide to get the most out of playing doubles.

I have already given the tournaments up to and including Wimbledon - so these are the ones after Wimbledon until the US Open.

So he is playing RG!!

Jelka calm down. If you don't want to watch his matches anymore, fine. If it helps you, just do it, no problem.

He doesn't want to quit like this. He wants to prove (at least to himself) that he's done all he could to try to get back. That's why the full schedule. When he leaves he wants to leave with a full conscience that he tried all he could. That's my guess anyway.

It was more a question...........!
It is hard to support him, if there are no "contacts " and "nice words " to his fans.....just the "results" of him.....and maybe I assigned his behaviour in a wrong way. But isn´t that so weird to think about this way ( like I am thinking).....and not to say all the time...."Marat I love you, whatever you say, whatever you do.......I support you ?"
I am just asking myself, what `s going on in his mind. Maybe I expect an answer......but what I get is.......: ANGER WITH YOU and you misunderstood what I want to say...........!
I am tired and stressed like Marat.........and it is hard to see him trying and trying.......!He can play tennis!!! I know that!!!
I never expected a tournament win of him, but for me he lost his concentration in the 3rd set! Did you saw the "coments" of the reporters?
I mean....am I wrong?

Jelka
we are all tired and stressed these days in this economic climate - it is not easy for lots of people all over the world too.
Yes we would like Marat to be our special lift up but he is also going through hard times - trying hard and things not going right. He wouldn't keep playing if he didn't care. One thing - although you are not an actual "friend" with Marat and can talk to him - being a fan is like being a friend where you love and support unconditionally as a true friend does. You might not always agree but your friendship continues and you will still be there for that friend. Think that is the best way to put it. And yes we get angry with our friends but we get back together again don't we?

And for everyones information but particularly for you Jelka where you said he doesn't train

As at today 29 April

Marat has gone to Valencia to practice

He will keep trying and go on to Madrid next.
